For me art is all about emotion. I want to feel something when I look at a piece, I want it to move me in some way or another. The same way music, dance and movies etc. does.
I paint what I personally would like to have on my walls in my house. Something that I want to look at everyday an artwork that says welcome home. I also like to surround myself with things that uplifts me, gives me positive feelings and fills up my energy tank.
The composition of my art is intended to be well balanced, so that the elements can breathe. I also give much thought to the esthetics of the painting. I want it to be pleasing to the eye. However, that is up to the individual viewer to decide.
For me my work expresses movement, energy and powerful vibrations. I hope and think the buyers and viewers of my art feels as they get uplifted and energized by looking at it.
I mostly paint abstract art because it connects me more to the moment. While I find figurative painting more thought through and controlled. I like both forms in different ways, but I feel freer when I paint abstract style. It also challenges the eye of the observer in a different way than the figurative.
